Threadlift™
Threadlift® is a non-surgical procedure performed at our Fort Lauderdale center. It is used to tighten areas of the face that are prone to sagging or loose skin. Often referred to as the "lunchtime face lift," Threadlift® takes about an hour to complete. With little downtime, Threadlift® is quickly becoming one of the most popular cosmetic procedures available.
Threadlift® is preferred over other facial plastic surgery enhancement procedures by some patients because it doesn't require incisions or stitches, and thus leaves no visible scarring. The Threadlift® procedure is easily performed; Dr. Mayl will thread a thin barbed suture under the skin, where it gently attaches itself. The thread can then be adjusted, giving patients an optimal level of enhancement. Since Threadlift® is minimally invasive, general anesthesia is very rarely required and patients are allowed to remain relaxed and awake during the duration of the procedure.
Threadlift® is most appropriate for individuals who show premature signs of aging. It may not provide the desired degree of correction for those with excessive sagging or excess skin; for these patients, Dr. Mayl may recommend his total facial rejuvenation face lift. Face Lift
A more invasive procedure than Threadlift®, face lift, performed at our Fort Lauderdale center under the expertise of Dr. Nathan Mayl, can make you look years younger. Exposure to the sun and everyday wear and tear can cause premature aging of the skin. Dr. Mayl performs face lift procedures on women and men of all ages, although it is most popular among patients who are in their 40s or older.
During the face lift procedure, Dr. Mayl will remove excess skin and fat, and tighten the facial muscles to create a smoother and more firm appearance. Face lift incisions are made behind the ears and hairline, so there should be no visible scarring. Recovering from a face lift takes time, although patients should expect to be up and around in a few days and can generally return to work in seven to 10 days. Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery is a popular procedure at our Fort Lauderdale center. Also known as blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery gives eyes a more open and alert appearance by removing bags and tightening sagging skin in both the under and upper eye areas. The result of eyelid surgery is a refreshed and "rested" look.
During eyelid surgery, Dr. Mayl will remove excess skin and fat from the eye area, and tighten the underlying muscles. Eyelid surgery offers a subtle improvement to the facial area and makes an excellent compliment to other cosmetic procedures, including face lift or Threadlift®, BOTOX® Cosmetic or another cosmetic injectable, rhinoplasty, neck lift, laser skin resurfacing, and other facial enhancement procedures. Complete recovery from eyelid surgery takes several weeks, although patients should be up and around within two days of the procedure, and can usually return to normal activity within two to three weeks. Slight swelling and tenderness can be expected during recovery. When combined with another plastic surgery treatment, recovery may take slightly longer.

Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular and commonly performed plastic surgery procedures today. Many people are unhappy with the shape of their nose. Dr. Mayl can improve the shape and slope of the nasal cavity and bridge by shaving excess bone and removing excess cartilage to create a more desirable appearance using either the open, closed, or endoscopic technique. Neck Lift
Neck lift surgery is often performed in conjunction with face lift, however some patients find that tightening the neck area is enough to give them their desired appearance. Incisions will be made under the chin so that any scars are masked. Excess skin and fat will be removed, and the neck muscles tightened to create a better facial contour and give the neck greater definition. Performed at our Fort Lauderdale center, this procedure should take one to three hours to complete; however, if it is combined with total facial rejuvenation or another procedure, the transformation will take longer.
MACS Lift
A MACS lift is ideal for improving the look of the lower face and neck. It is a short outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. This procedure will leave you looking younger and more refreshed. It will enhance the appearance of your jaw line and remove jowls that can sometimes appear around the chin.
